Thanks, Bill. Any word on Brink's status? |

Some players will hopefully get up for this one. Despite it looks like a borderline AHL lineup. |

Top 6 are bottom 6 NHL players. Bottom 6 are AHL players. It's a tough pill to swallow when comparing both rosters. We'll see what happens, but I'm not optimistic. |

Rehabbing with the Phantoms. Still on target for a late-December or early January timetable to play. He will start out with the Phantoms when he is cleared to play and there is not a specific timetable for an NHL recall. He struggled a bit with the NHL pace during his late-season stint with the Flyers, and that was before the hip injury. So he will come along at his own pace with the Phantoms. Hopefully, the Flyers' NHL lineup will be much healthier by that point. |

Thanks! I suppose realistically, we shouldn't see him up with the Flyers this year (unless he kills it) and just look for him to make the team next year. |

9 in a row!!!
Zach MacEwen on the second line.
Meanwhile the Devils have Jesper Bratt who would be the Flyers best player by a landslide on their third line. |

Even when Brink comes back he is going to have to earn his spot in the lineup. That means demonstrating some sandpaper down in the AHL, chipping a few pucks in deep, and mixing it up.
If he is able to show that, he will have earned a call up to the big club to play with Deslauriers. |

Would Fitzgerald had the same success if he was flyers GM, and vice-president. Or is flyers country club to toxic to manouver through? |

As much as this team desperately needs a bottom 3 finish and for Fletcher to get fired, I will be glad when some of the injured forwards return and the lineup isn't so embarrassing.
Of course there are three, healthy young D prospects on the Phantoms, any one of which could help the defense right now. But Flyers management is content to play Seeler, Risto and Braun every game. Disgraceful. |

My prediction is that we get to 15 losses in a row and fletch trades hart tk and this years first for a veteran centre rental and is fired the next day. |

He’ll barely break a sweat doing it too. Our lineup is so weak that the nearly 38 year old Jeff Carter would be our 1C if he was on our roster. |

This could be a very ugly game. Hate getting embarrassed by either the Penguins or the Rags. This will likely be one of those games.

Speaking of old, remembering Carter and Richards breaking in at the end of the year with the Phantoms and then coming right to the Flyers. Realizing now Carter is almost 38 and at the end, makes me feel old. |

Flyers look like the tanking on purpose pens from the past. But flyers not tanking on purpose. Chuck just collected mediocre guys who is hurt alot.

Yeah, you and me both. What’s worse is that the kids who will be getting drafted this Spring are pretty much young enough to be my grandsons! |

Kinda/sorta. Getting to play an entire playoff run with the AHL champion Phantoms the spring prior to their rookie seasons, gave both Carter and Richards a big advantage. It also didn’t hurt that the 05-06 squad still featured Forsberg, Gagne, Knuble, Handzus, Kapanen, Desjardins and Johnsson and they were coached by the very capable Hitchcock. |

I'll take it if it gets us an generational talent to embarrass the penguins and rangers for years to come |
